What to do in San Sebastián de La Gomera?

Visit the national park to experience one of the oldest forests in the world with large, ancient trees, which grow abundantly due to moisture from the mountains and clouds. The island has rocky beaches and lots of banana fields. The lighthouse 'Faro de San Cristobal' offers spectacular views across to Mount Tide and Tenerife from the cliff path. Casa de Colon in San Sebastián de La Gomera is the house where Christopher Colombus stayed. The building is free to enter with a few artefacts, an art display and some pottery. There is also the Museo Arqueologico de La Gomera, which narrates the history of the island over the past 2500 years. Ermita de Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe is a small chapel and one of the oldest buildings on the island.
