Positano is a stunning former fishing village on the Amalfi Coast, blessed with beautiful beaches, pretty houses and fantastic views. The largest beach here, Spiaggia Grande, offers lots of dark sand and sun loungers for relaxing by the waves. For families, nearby Spiaggia del Fornillo, a pebble beach, is a popular choice for its gently sloping waters.
After relaxing at the beach, take the time to explore the winding streets and stairways that crisscross the town, with boutique shops and trattorias to stop off at. At the very top is the Basilica di Santa Maria Assunta church, in the centre of Flavio Gioia square.
