Things to do in Nusa Dua

For many, the main appeal of Nusa Dua is the promise of a relaxing holiday resort on a beautiful island with pristine beaches. If that’s you, then you’ll have plenty to keep you happy during your stay in Indonesia. Many of the resorts have their own private beaches, but if you’re looking for a bit more choice then try Pantai Geger Beach, where you’ll find sun loungers and cafes or Gunung Payung Beach, with its stunning views over the ocean. If you’re on a holiday family you might also enjoy the Pirates Bay, complete with a huge wooden pirate ship and pirate-themed restaurant.

If you’re looking to fully unwind, take advantage of the many spas and treatments available in Nusa Dua. You may find independent spas offer a more affordable choice than those at the resorts. Some of the most popular, traditional treatments include hot stone massages and Balinese cream baths.

If, however, you’re looking for some fun and excitement, there are plenty of activities here to try. You’ll be spoilt for choice with watersports, where everything from jet skiing and parasailing to banana boat rides are available. Why not try kite boarding or pay a visit to the Surf & Turf Surf Rider to practice your skills on the board. Or explore below the waves by swimming, snorkelling, diving or sea walking. You could also try a glass bottomed boat tour. If you prefer to keep your feet on dry land, why not try a round of golf at the Nusa Dua Golf and Country Club or a camel ride with Bali Camel Safaris.

If you’re looking to indulge in some retail therapy then Bali Collection is the spot for you. Here you’ll find a department store, lots of shops and a range of outlets selling souvenirs and gifts. There is also a choice of cafes and restaurants once you’ve finished shopping.

Top attractions

There are a few temples worth visiting during your stay in Nusa Dua, but perhaps the best known is Pura Gegar, by Gegar Beach. It’s an attractive temple with stunning views out over the sea. If you’re interested to see more Indonesian culture during your stay, one of the main events is the nightly Devdan Show, a dance performance unique to the area. Expect beautiful costumes and plenty of acrobatics.

If it’s natural beauty you want to discover, take a boat trip to Serangan Island, or Turtle Island as it’s also known. Here you can find out about the wonderful wild inhabitants at the conservation centre, which takes care of injured turtles, and see the baby turtles in the hatchery. Finally, one of the best natural sights in Nusa Dua is the Water Blow, a rock formation that causes the sea to erupt like a blow hole.

Best restaurants

If you’re looking for a relaxed and delicious meal on the beach, the Nusa Dua Beach Grill is your best choice. Offering well prices dishes of fresh fish and seafood, it’s located on Gegar Beach, so you can dine with your toes in the sand. If you want to try some really authentic Balinese food, make your way to Bumbu Bali. Here you can enjoy traditional fare, unlike the meals you will find at most of the resort restaurants, and even have a lesson at the cookery school.

At HolidayTaxis, we recognize that every traveler is different and may have their own preferences and requirements for their airport transfers. To accommodate this, we offer a diverse range of transfer vehicles for our customers to choose from, each with its own set of benefits and advantages.

For example, if you're traveling in a large group, our minibus or shared airport shuttle transfers might be the best option for you, as they can comfortably accommodate a larger number of passengers and their luggage.
