Things to see and do in Cala Bona

Holidaymakers choose Cala Bona for its relaxed, rustic charm and calm waters. Visitors can enjoy exploring the winding streets, eating out at the waterfront restaurants and shopping in the centre. The resort is home to an array of little sandy beaches and coves, with two kilometres of beach stretching out to nearby Cala Millor.

Cala Millor is only a 15 minute walk away, and an ideal place to visit in the evening for a livelier night out at a disco or club. Cala Bona has a more laid-back nightlife, with plenty of bars serving cocktails and a few venues offering quizes or karaoke.

Top attractions

One of Majorca’s main tourist attractions is just on the doorstep of Cala Bona: the famous Caves of Drach. The wonderful caves, full of stalagmites and stalactites, are home to one of the largest underground lakes in the world - often used as a concert venue. Just nearby is the Punta de n’Amer nature reserve, a haven for walkers.

While the resort offers a few gift shops and boutiques, shopaholics should take the short taxi ride to Son Servera for the Friday market - 200 stalls of local crafts, leather products and more. Visitors in July are also advised to check out the Virgen del Carmen fisherman’s festival, when there are fireworks, processions and concerts.

Best restaurants

Cala Bona is a top spot for seafood and fresh fish dishes, and the marina is a great place to find restaurants serving up the day’s catch, lobster, paella and fish stews. Son Floriana is hugely popular with the locals, where you’ll find a regularly-changing menu of home-cooked dishes and excellent service. If you’re missing home, however, pop along to the Rope and Anchor for breakfasts and a good old Sunday Roast.

Types of HolidayTaxis transfer vehicles
March 31, 2023

At HolidayTaxis, we recognize that every traveler is different and may have their own preferences and requirements for their airport transfers. To accommodate this, we offer a diverse range of transfer vehicles for our customers to choose from, each with its own set of benefits and advantages.

For example, if you're traveling in a large group, our minibus or shared airport shuttle transfers might be the best option for you, as they can comfortably accommodate a larger number of passengers and their luggage. On the other hand, if you're traveling with just one or two companions, a private car may be more suitable for you as they offer a more intimate and personalised experience.
