Things to do

There are so many sights to see on your arrival in the Hungarian capital, from the impressive Hungarian Parliament Building on the banks of the River Danube to the Great Market Hall and Memento Park, full of communist-era statues.

The best views of the city can be seen from the top of Castle Hill - Take the funicular to the top and stop off at the Fisherman’s Bastion for a stunning panorama of Budapest. The Buda Hills are a popular green part of the city, and visitors can hike or cycle around the various mountain trails. After all that sightseeing, relax at the famous Széchenyi Baths complex at the sight of one of the city’s many thermal pools.

Top Restaurants

The award-winning Onyx Restaurant is one of the best in Budapest, serving up an excellent choice of both modern and traditional Hungarian dishes. For an authentic taste of Budapest, book a table at the Megyeri Csárda tavern which dates back centuries; traditional meals of meat, fish and pickles are on the menu here.

One of the most well-known restaurants in the city is Fisherman’s Bastion (Halászbástya) which serves up stunning views and a quality menu of International cuisine; it’s a popular place to eat for anyone visiting Budapest.

Nightlife

The city is famous for its ruin pubs, built in old deserted buildings and attracting both tourists and locals alike. The up and coming Jewish quarter is an excellent place to find some of the best bars and pubs in Budapest, including some great wine bars such as Doblo. Afterwards, head along to one of the many clubs or late-night bars, or experience a fun and unusual night out at one of the evening Széchenyi Baths bath parties.

Types of HolidayTaxis transfer vehicles
March 31, 2023

At HolidayTaxis, we recognize that every traveler is different and may have their own preferences and requirements for their airport transfers. To accommodate this, we offer a diverse range of transfer vehicles for our customers to choose from, each with its own set of benefits and advantages.

For example, if you're traveling in a large group, our minibus or shared airport shuttle transfers might be the best option for you, as they can comfortably accommodate a larger number of passengers and their luggage. On the other hand, if you're traveling with just one or two companions, a private car may be more suitable for you as they offer a more intimate and personalised experience.
